This entry is part of a map titled: "Seattle to Thailand and Back".
I'm standing at something called an earth scope. Its a gps monitoring station that is part of the Plate Boundary Observatory. It collects info about earthquake and volcanic activity. It has a very large gps antenna that makes it I assume, very accurate. Yes yes I'm a flaming gps geek and the radome at the rest stop was irresistible so I had to take a look.Joey just peed on one of the tripod legs of the radome so I guess we're ready to get back on the road. I love the visual ... but it would be helpful if I knew how many miles you guys had left on the trip ... ie started with 1200 and have 831 left. (Since I am too lazy to figure it out)
this also gave me something to say right now .. :) Posted by: Linda | Fri Feb 16 @ 6:40 PM
